Transit of Venus Part II on MSNBC. One of the best parts about the multiple live broadcasts was the amount of educational information each one provided periodically through out the whole event. In the screen shots above, the reporter was explaining the perfect positioning for watching the transit from Earth is Hawaii due to it’s close proximity to the equator, and it’s 360 degree view of the observable sky. The Sun Earth Day team, along with NASA Edge, broadcasted live from observatories on top of the Mauna Kea summit in Hawaii.
