“Simeis 147 (Spaghetti Nebula, or Sharpless 2-240) is a large supernova remnant in the constellations of Taurus and Auriga. It’s a result of supernova explosion about 40 000 years ago. This nebula covers about 3° and is approximately 3000 light years away which means that the real size is about 140 light years..” [via Milky Way Scientists]
